Week 15: GPAC Men's Basketball Players of the Week

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Basketball Players-of-the-Week
Offensive – Jesse Van Kalsbeek, Northwestern College (Forward)
Jesse Van Kalsbeek of Northwestern College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball offensive player-of-the-week. Van Kalsbeek, a sophomore from Sheldon, Iowa, led the Raiders' scoring effort in two wins last week, posting double-doubles in both outings. In Wednesday's win at Waldorf, he posted 25 points, 17 boards, and seven assists. He followed it up with a 20-point, 10-rebound outing in Saturday's win over Dakota Wesleyan. The Raiders are currently on a 10-game winning streak, led by Van Kalsbeek's NAIA-best 28.2 points per game.
Defensive – Jake Orr, Midland University (Guard)
Jake Orr of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball defensive player-of-the-week. Orr, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, flirted with a triple-double in his final game as a Warrior on Saturday. In addition to his 19 points, he collected 9 rebounds and 9 steals in a narrow loss at Doane. Eight of his rebounds came on the defensive end, while his steal total was two shy of the Midland single-game record. He finishes his career with 1,576 points and 671 rebounds.
