Week 2: GPAC Men's Basketball Players of the Week

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Basketball Players-of-the-Week
Offensive – Brooks Kissinger, Concordia University (Guard)
Brooks Kissinger of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball offensive player-of-the-week. Kissinger, a junior from Ashland, Nebraska, was named to the All-Cattle Classic team after leading Concordia to wins over Oklahoma City, 87-76, and Clarke (Iowa), 107-68. Kissinger struck for a career-high 31 points in the win over Clarke. The next day, Kissinger just missed a triple-double as he notched 18 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.
Defensive – Jesse Van Kalsbeek, Northwestern College (Forward)
Jesse Van Kalsbeek of Northwestern College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball defensive player-of-the-week. Van Kalsbeek, a sophomore from Sheldon, Iowa, notched his fifth double-double in as many games, putting up 22 points and 14 rebounds in Northwestern's win over Viterbo. Of his rebounds 11 came on the defensive glass. On the year, Van Kalsbeek is averaging 31.0 points and 12.4 rebounds.
