Morningside Wins 2024-25 GPAC Men's Basketball Tournament Championship
(Sioux City, Iowa) – Fourth seed Morningside jumped out to an early lead and claimed the championship of the 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Basketball Tournament over two seed Concordia 87-77 on Tuesday night in Seward, Nebraska.

Morningside secured the second automatic berth in the NAIA National Tournament. Dordt has the first automatic bid for the league by way of winning the regular season championship.
Daniel Brocaille led the Mustangs with 28 points on 9-16 shooting from the floor. Joey Skoff had 13 and Aidan Vanderloo 10 for Morningside.
Noah Schutte paced the Bulldogs with 22, while Tristan Smith had 13.
Fourth seed Morningside reached the final with a semifinal win over #1 Dordt 109-106 in overtime, while two seed Concordia defeated three seed Northwestern 67-61.
64 teams will make the NAIA Men's Basketball Postseason this year. Games will be played at First and Second Round Sites on March 14-15 (four team pods). The 16 opening round winners will play in the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship is set for March 20-25, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri, at Municipal Auditorium.
