Week 16: GPAC Men's Basketball Players of the Week

Offensive – Matthew Stilwill, Briar Cliff University (Guard)
Matthew Stilwill of Briar Cliff University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball offensive player-of-the-week. Stilwill, a graduate student from Johnston, Iowa, averaged 28.5 points per game and shot 58 percent from the field and 46 percent from three. Stilwill scored 30 points and recorded nine assists while shooting 63 percent from the field and went three-for-five from three. Against Mount Marty, Stilwill scored 27 points and shot 52 percent from the field.
Defensive – Tristan Smith, Concordia University (Forward)
Tristan Smith of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball defensive player-of-the-week. Smith, a senior from Elizabeth, Colorado, starred on both ends of the court as No. 12 Concordia earned wins over Hastings and Dakota Wesleyan. Defensively, Smith collected four blocks and three steals for the week and helped hold Hastings to 41.3 percent shooting and Dakota Wesleyan to 45.3 percent shooting. Smith also added 47 points over the two victories.
