Week 7: GPAC Women's Volleyball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Volleyball players-of-the-week for contests played September 29-October 5, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Volleyball Players-of-the-Week

Attacker – Maddy Sampson, Northwestern College (Middle)

Northwestern's Maddy Sampson is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker-of-the-Week. Sampson, a sophomore from Worthington, Minnesota, had a career-high 13 kills in Northwestern's sweep of Doane on Saturday, hitting an impressive .600 in the match and blocking three attempts. On Friday, she posted eight kills and two blocks in a sweep of Hastings. On the week, Sampson hit .594 with 21 kills at 3.50 per set.

Setter- Camdyn Carpenter, Doane University

Camdyn Carpenter of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. Carpenter, a junior from Henderson, Nevada, paced Doane's offense on the week by dishing out 10.36 assists per set with two road wins. She recorded two double-doubles (Kansas Wesleyan & Northwestern) with assists and digs. Carpenter is second in the GPAC in assists on the season.

Defender – Emma Brueggemann, Concordia University (Libero)

Concordia's libero Emma Brueggemann is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Brueggemann, a freshman from Hebron, Nebraska, helped limit No. 2 Concordia's foes to a combined hitting percentage of .137 in five-set wins over Morningside and Briar Cliff. Brueggemann totaled 61 digs and 54 service receptions for the week. She also added two aces. Brueggemann now leads the GPAC in digs per set (5.20) this season.
