Week 6: GPAC Women's Volleyball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Volleyball players-of-the-week for contests played September 22-28, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Volleyball Players-of-the-Week

Attacker – Aubrey De Groot, Northwestern College (Opposite)

Northwestern's Aubrey De Groot is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker-of-the-Week. De Groot, a junior from Orange City, Iowa, led the Raiders with 11 and 13 kills in sweeps of Waldorf and College of Saint Mary. Her 13 kills on Saturday marked a career-high. On the week she hit a blistering .585 to go along with three blocks.

Setter- Brena Mackling, Midland University

Brena Mackling of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. Mackling, a junior from Gretna, Nebraska, averaged 6.71 assists/set in Midland's 6-2 formation this past week. She played a big part in the Warriors winning both conference matches while hitting .268 as a team. Additionally, she had seven digs, six kills, and a pair of service aces.

Defender – Emma Brueggemann, Concordia University (Libero)

Concordia's libero Emma Brueggemann is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Brueggemann, a freshman from Hebron, Nebraska, paced the Bulldogs with 36 digs over straight-sets wins over Hastings and Dordt this past week. Hastings hit .054 and Dordt hit .049. Dating back to last season, the Bulldogs have won 16 straight GPAC regular season matches.
