Week 5: GPAC Women's Volleyball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Volleyball players-of-the-week for contests played September 15-21, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Volleyball Players-of-the-Week

Attacker – Ashley Keck, Concordia University (Outside)

Concordia's Ashley Keck is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker-of-the-Week. Keck, a senior from Kearney, Nebraska, led No. 2 Concordia to four-set wins over No. 17 Midland and Doane. For the week, she tallied 36 kills and hit .234 from the outside. She added 28 digs, four aces and two blocks to her weekly stat line. Keck continues to lead the GPAC in kills per set (4.20).

Setter- Ella Brueggemann, Concordia University

Ella Brueggemann of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. Brueggemann, a freshman from Hebron, Nebraska, shared setter duties this past week as No. 2 Concordia earned four-set wins over No. 17 Midland and Doane. For the week, Brueggemann tallied 46 assists, 19 digs and two aces. The Bulldogs averaged 13.13 kills per set over the two victories.

Defender – Zavyr Metzger, Northwestern College (Middle)

Northwestern's middle Zavyr Metzger is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Metzger, a senior from Larchwood, Iowa, averaged 2.56 blocks per set in a 3-1 week for the Raiders, highlighted by a career-high 13-block performance in three sets against Kansas Wesleyan on Friday. In addition to her defensive efforts, Metzger averaged 1.50 kills per set for the week. Metzger's 2.04 blocks per set season average leads the NAIA.
