Attacker – Ashley Keck, Concordia University (Outside)
Concordia's Ashley Keck is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker-of-the-Week. Keck, a senior, from Kearney, Nebraska, reached a milestone last week in eclipsing 1,000 career kills while leading No. 4 Concordia to wins over Columbia (Mo.), MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) and No. 1 Indiana Wesleyan. Keck led the Bulldogs in kills in all three matches while posting weekly totals of 46 kills (.257 hitting percentage), 51 digs, 10 blocks, three aces and 63 service receptions. Keck (1,034 career kills) became the 11th player in program history reach 1,000 career kills.
Setter- Lily Psencik, Concordia University
Lily Psencik of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. Psencik, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, helped No. 4 Concordia to a 3-0 week in Marion, Ind., where it defeated Columbia (Mo.), MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) and No. 1 Indiana Wesleyan. Psencik shared the setter role and averaged 6.8 assists per set for the week to go along with 21 digs and two aces. The Bulldogs averaged 12.92 kills per set as a team.
Defender – Zavyr Metzger, Northwestern College (Middle)
Northwestern College middle blocker Zavry Metzger is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Metzger, a senior from Larchwood, Iowa, helped the Raiders to a 4-0 weekend at the Siouxland Invitational, boosting the Raiders on both the offensive and defensive side. In the season opener against Spartanburg Methodist, Metzger tallied a career-high 11 kills and had five blocks. Against VCSU on Friday night, she added nine blocks and 10 kills. On the weekend, Metzger had 35 kills at 2.33 per set and 30 blocks at 2.00 per set.
