Week 7: GPAC Volleyball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Volleyball players-of-the-week for contests played September 30-2October 6, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Volleyball Players-of-the-Week

Attacker – Ashley Keck, Concordia University (Outside)

Ashley Keck of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker-of-the-Week. Keck, a junior, from Kearney, Nebraska, notched a team high 32 kills as fourth-ranked Concordia defeated both Waldorf and Dakota Wesleyan on the road. Keck hit .266 from the outside and also added a combined 38 digs over seven sets of action. Keck leads the Bulldogs with 192 kills on the season.

Setter- Alexis Pontine, Hastings College

Alexis Pontine of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. Pontine, a junior from Ignacio, Colorado, piled up 92 in three games. She averaged 10.86 assists per set, including 12 per set in their five-set match against eight-ranked Bellevue. She also added six kills, 41 digs, and five blocks.

Defender – Rebecca Gebhardt, Concordia University (Defensive Specialist)

Concordia University defensive specialist Rebecca Gebhardt is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Gebhardt, a senior, from Norfolk, Nebraska, helped fourth-ranked Concordia to road wins over Waldorf and Dakota Wesleyan while limiting them to respective hitting percentages of .090 and .108. She tallied 45 digs in the back row and was a perfect 30-for-30 in serve receive. She added eight assists to her stat line. As part of the weekend trip, Gebhardt moved to No. 5 on the program's all-time digs list (1,443 for her career).
