Hastings Wins 2025 GPAC Women’s Soccer Tournament Championship

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Championship Match of the 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Women's Soccer Tournament was played on Wednesday night in Hastings, Nebraska, at Lloyd Wilson Field on the Hastings College campus.   

Three seed Hastings posted a 1-0 win over fourth seed Dordt to claim the GPAC Tournament Title.

The two teams were scoreless through the first 77 minutes of play until Hastings sophomore forward, Payton Tanner found the back of the net at the 77:57 mark, assisted by senior midfielder Jesse Chartier. The Bronco defense allowed only eight shots all night, none of which landed on goal.

Hastings advances, as the league's second automatic representative, to the NAIA National Women's Soccer National Championship Opening Round (on November 20-22). 

The 2025 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship will be December 1-8, at the Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex in Pensacola, Florida.
