Week 8: GPAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played October 13-19, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-26 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Women's Offense – Maria Zylstra, Dordt University (Midfielder)

Maria Zylstra of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Zylstra, a sophomore from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, helped the Defenders pick up a pair of conference wins last week. She scored two goals in the Defenders 3-0 win against Briar Cliff. Zylstra converted a penalty kick in the first half and scored 10 minutes later to give the Defenders a 2-0 lead..

Women's Defense – Jenna Brown, College of Saint Mary (Keeper)

Jenna Brown of the College of Saint Mary is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Brown, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, turned in her first career clean sheet in a 1-0 win over Hastings College. It was the Flames first win over the Broncos in 17 career meetings. She made 16 saves in the victory, also a career high.
