Morningside Wins 2026 GPAC Women's Golf Championship, Meyerink Goes Back-to-Back Individually
(Dakota Dunes, South Dakota) – Morningside shot a 54-hole total of 953 (+77) to win the 2026 IMA Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Golf Championship. The GPAC Women's Golf Championships were played at the Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota. The tournament was played on Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28.

In the team competition, Doane was second (+102) and College of Saint Mary was third (+134). Concordia was fourth and Briar Cliff placed fifth.
Allison Meyerink from Dakota Wesleyan won the individual title with a 54-hole score of 233 (+14) and won her second straight GPAC Individual Title. Kamryn Zuniga from Morningside was second at +16 (235), while Lucy Brown from Morningside was third at +18 (237).
The Morningside women will represent the GPAC at the NAIA National Championships in Ypsilanti, Michigan, May 19-20 at the Eagle Crest Golf Club. Meyerink will represent the GPAC as an individual at the NAIA National Championships.
The top ten individuals (with ties) were named to the GPAC Women's Golf All-Tournament Team. The GPAC Women's Golf All-Conference Teams will be announced in the coming week.
