2025 GPAC Women’s Basketball Tournament Semifinals Complete

(Sioux City, Iowa) – Top seed Dordt and three seed Briar Cliff posted Semifinal wins on Saturday afternoon in the 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Basketball Tournament. 

Top seed Dordt won at home over #4 Hastings 80-73, while three seed Briar Cliff won at #2 Dakota Wesleyan 62-56.  Dordt will host Briar Cliff on Tuesday night at 7pm in the GPAC Women's Basketball Tournament Championship.

On Wednesday night in quarterfinals op seed Dordt defeated #8 Concordia in Sioux Center, Iowa, by the final of 80-66, while fourth seed Hastings won at home over #5 Northwestern 81-70 in Hastings, Nebraska.  On the other side of the bracket two seed Dakota Wesleyan was a winner in Mitchell, South Dakota, over #7 Doane 79-71, while three seed Briar Cliff defeated #6 seed Morningside 89-52 in Sioux City, Iowa.

GPAC Championship Tuesday will be on Tuesday, March 4.  Both teams have now secured automatic berths in the NAIA National Tournament because of top seed, and regular season champion, Dordt playing in the title game.

64 teams will make the NAIA Women's Basketball Postseason this year.  Games will be played at First and Second Round Sites on March 14-15 (four team pods).  The 16 opening round winners will play in the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship is set for March 20-25, 2025, in Sioux City, Iowa, at the Tyson Events Center.
