Midland Wins the 2026 GPAC Softball Tournament

(Sioux City, Iowa) – Midland won two of three games on Saturday afternoon over Morningside to claim the 2026 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Tournament Championship.

The best of three finals was played in Fremont, Nebraska, and was hosted by Midland University.

Three-seed Morningside won game one with a final score of 2-1. The top-seeded Warriors came back to win game two 4-3. Midland then won the deciding game with a final score of 3-2.

Both teams have secured the GPAC automatic berths to the NAIA Softball Opening Rounds which get underway May 11-14 at campus sites around the country. The field for the NAIA Softball Postseason will be announced on Wednesday, May 6 at 5 p.m.
