Week 11: GPAC Softball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played April 13-19, 2026. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors

Player – Chloe Kreuz, Dordt University (Outfielder/Pitcher)

Chloe Kreuz of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports softball player-of-the-week.  Kreuz, a junior from Ruthererfordton, North Carolina, established a new single season homerun record with her third homerun in the doubleheader with the College of Saint Mary. She followed that up with a four-hit day against Concordia on Saturday. She tied Dordt's single season hits record with her final hit of the week and has 73 hits this season. She also stole four bases and scored 11 runs while knocking in 12 this week in addition to going 2-0 in the circle in two starts.

Pitcher – Mackenzie Groninga, Midland University

Mackenzie Groninga of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week.  Groninga, a sophomore from Blair, Nebraska, picked up four wins in the circle last week. In her final outing, going up against conference-leading Dakota Wesleyan, she pitched a one-hitter with a career-high 15 strikeouts. For the week, she pitched 25.0 innings with 35 strikeouts (9.8 k/7) and had an ERA of 1.12.
