Week 9: GPAC Softball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played March 31-April 6, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors

Pitcher – Campbell Petrick, Midland University

Campbell Petrick of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week. Petrick, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, pitched a no-hitter in her lone outing this week at Concordia. She faced 24 batters in the contest, allowing two walks in seven innings of work. It is her third straight game without allowing a run as she improved to 9-4 on the season with a 2.05 ERA

Player – Mackenzi Harrel, Morningside University (Utility)

Mackenzi Harrel of Morningside University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports softball player-of-the-week.  Harrel, a sophomore from Lincoln, Nebraska, had three home runs, a triple, and a double this week, as she drove her slugging percentage to 1.500 and batting average for the week to .643. In all she tallied 12 RBIs and was a perfect 6-for-6 in the field.
