Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the Week
Women – Keeli Green, Concordia University
Keeli Green of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Green, a sophomore from Arlington, Nebraska, led the Bulldogs to a ninth-place finish out of 27 teams at the Blazing Tiger Classic in Ashland, Neb. Green placed third individually (best among GPAC runners) in the meet with a 6K personal best time of 21:34.52. It was also the fastest 6K for any Concordia runner in program history on that course (Mahoney State Park).
Men – Vaughn Hendrickson, Concordia University
Vaughn Hendrickson of Concordia University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Hendrickson, a sophomore from Fort Wayne, Indiana, helped Concordia to a sixth-place finish out of 26 teams at the Blazing Tiger Classic in Ashland, Nebraska. Hendrickson placed third overall (best among GPAC runners) at the meet with a season best 8K time of 24:49.43 (roughly 12 seconds off his personal best of 24:37.2). Hendrickson is the reigning GPAC cross country champion.
