Week 9: Men's Volleyball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Volleyball players-of-the-week for contests played March 20-26, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Volleyball Players-of-the-Week

Attacker – Akeil Williams, Ottawa University (Middle)

Akeil Williams of Ottawa University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker-of-the-Week. Williams, a sophomore, from Barbados, had 27 kills, a .537 attacking percentage, 14 digs, and eight blocks in a pair of matches last week. He averaged 13.5 kills per match and 4.5 kills per set.

Setter- Jacob DePauw, Morningside University

Jacob DePauw from Morningside University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. DePauw, a sophomore from South Beloit, Illinois, had 15 assists as the Mustangs swept Central Christian in the opening round of the GPAC Tournament. He also added a pair of digs and four service aces in the win.

Defender – Akeil Williams, Ottawa University (Middle)

Akeil Williams of Ottawa University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Williams, a sophomore, from Barbados, had 14 digs and eight blocks. He averaged seven digs a match and 2.3 digs per set. Williams also averaged 1.3 blocks per set and four blocks per match.
