Week 5: Men's Volleyball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Volleyball players-of-the-week for contests played February 20-26, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Volleyball Players-of-the-Week

Attacker – Oguzhan Oguz, University of Jamestown (Opposite)

Oguzhan Oguz of the University of Jamestown is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker-of-the-Week. Oguz, a freshman, from Bursa, Turkey, recorded a season-high 21 kills and hit .621 in the Jimmies' sweep of Kansas Wesleyan. On the week he hit .649 with only three errors in 37 attempts.

Setter- Jacob DePauw, Morningside University

Jacob DePauw from Morningside University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. DePauw, a sophomore from South Beloit, Illinois, averaged 11.5 assists per set in this week's four-set match with Ottawa, totaling 46 assists. He also added four kills, four service aces to his offensive stats, and eight digs and one block assist to his defensive totals.

Defender – Owen Anderson, Morningside University (Libero)

Owen Anderson of Morningside University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Anderson, a sophomore from South Beloit, Illinois, totaled 16 digs in this week's 4-set win over Ottawa, averaging 4.0 digs per set.
