Week 3: Men's Volleyball Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Volleyball players-of-the-week for contests played February 6-12, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Volleyball Players-of-the-Week
Attacker – Caleb Kulesza, Dordt University (Opposite)
Caleb Kulesza of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker-of-the-Week. Kulesza, a senior, from Chicago, Illinois, averaged 3.86 kills per set and 2.3 assists as Dordt went 4-0 last weekend. His offensive production helped the Defenders improve to 6-1 this season, the best start in program history.
Setter- Derek Correa, University of Jamestown
Derek Correa from the University of Jamestown is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. Correa, a senior from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, accumulated 138 assists over four straight-set wins for the Jimmies. He also added 20 digs, seven blocks and three service aces.
Defender – Robert Piekarz, Dordt University (Libero)
Robert Piekarz of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Piekarz, a sophomore from Warsaw, Poland, averaged 4.64 digs per set and had two ace serves in four wins on the week. He also put up eight assists as secondary setter.
