Field Events – Nathan Baldwin, Concordia University
Nathan Baldwin of Concordia University is this week's field athlete-of-the-week. Baldwin, a sophomore from Sutton, Nebraska, achieved a personal best at the Prairie Wolf Invite. Baldwin's hammer throw of 196' 7" placed him second in the meet and automatically qualified him for the national championships. Baldwin ranks second in the GPAC and seventh nationally in the event.
Track Events – Kaiden Merryman, Hastings College
Kaiden Merryman of Hastings College is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Merryman, a junior from Lodi, California, dominated the 100m at the Prairie Wolf Invite, crossing the finish line with an 'A'-Standard time of 10.28, which was .35 seconds faster than anyone else. The mark is the second-fastest in school history and tied for the fourth-fastest time in the NAIA this year. He also anchored the 4x100m relay team that won the event at 41.93.
