Week 6: GPAC Tennis Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following tennis players-of-the-week for March 30-April 5 2026.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Tennis Weekly Honors

Women's Tennis – Liz Calderon, Doane University
Liz Calderon of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Tennis Player of the Week. Calderon, a sophomore from Panama City, Panama, continued to stay hot with a pair of wins on the week against Nebraska Wesleyan. She cruised in her singles match-up and added a shutout win at No. 1 doubles, teaming with Maria Purizaca.

Men's Tennis – Martin Cisneros, Midland University
Martin Cisneros of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Cisneros, a sophomore from Medellin, Colombia, helped Midland stay unbeaten in conference play with a 6-1 win at Hastings. He won in commanding fashion at No. 1 singles and then teamed with Zhanxing Yu to edge the Broncos' pair at No. 2 doubles.
