Week 10: GPAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played October 27-November 2, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-26 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week

Men's Offense – Hugo Garcia-Rosado Duran, Midland University (Midfielder)

Hugo Garcia-Rosado Duran of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Garcia, a senior from Barcelona, Spain, had 4 goals this week for the Warriors. He scored twice in the 8-1 win over Hastings and then scored twice in the first half against Briar Cliff in the opening round of the GPAC Tournament. This season, he leads the conference in goals (18) and ranks second in assists (7) for a GPAC-best 43 points.

Men's Defense – Inigo Chavarria, Concordia University (Keeper)

Inigo Chavarria of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Chavarria, a senior from Jaca, Spain, played all 183 minutes in goal for the Bulldogs this past week, helping lead them to the GPAC semifinals. He made six saves in the team's 3-2 win over Doane and then collected four saves in the 1-0 GPAC quarterfinal victory over Hastings. Chavarria stands as the GPAC leader in save percentage (.840) while ranking second in goals against average (0.84).
