Week 12: GPAC Golf Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following golfers-of-the-week for March 30-April 5, 2026.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Golfers-of-the-Week

Women – Brooke Thompson, Northwestern College
Brooke Thompson of Northwestern College is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Golfer-of-the-Week. Thompson, a freshman from Story City, Iowa, went 3-0 in match play last week, leading the Raiders to a third-place finish in the event. She defeated Hope Faber (Dordt) 6&4, Emmarie Miles (Doane) 5&4, and Ellery Jansen (Briar Cliff) 7&6.

Men – Evan Smith, Northwestern College
Evan Smith of Northwestern College is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Golfer-of-the-Week. Smith, a sophomore from, Knoxville, Iowa, went 3-0 in match play, leading the Raiders to a first-place finish at the Briar Cliff Spring Match Play Championship. He defeated Trevor Seeley (Hastings) 2&1, Leo Garcia (Mount Marty) 4UP, and Trey Van Groningen (Dordt) 5&3.
