Week 6: GPAC Golf Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following golfers-of-the-week for October 6-12, 2025.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Golfers-of-the-Week

Women – Allison Meyerink, Dakota Wesleyan University
Allison Meyerink of Dakota Wesleyan University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Golfer-of-the-Week. Meyerink, a sophomore from Mitchell, South Dakota, grabbed her third individual tournament win of the season at the 2025 Mustang Derby. She shot an even par during her round two to climb back into first place.

Men – Cauy Walters, Doane University
Cauy Walters of Doane University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Golfer-of-the-Week. Walters, a senior from Aurora, Nebraska, tied for first place overall but placed second after getting edged on the second hole of a playoff. His round of 65 (-6) was a Nebraska Intercollegiate meet single-round record and his 36-hole total of 138 (-4) was also a record. Doane placed second in the tournament.
