Week 5: GPAC Golfers of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following golfers-of-the-week for Feb. 24-March 2, 2025.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Golfers-of-the-Week

Women – Lucy Brown, Morningside University
Lucy Brown of Morningside University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Golfer-of-the-Week. Brown, a sophomore from Southport, United Kingdom, finished just inside the top 15 at the Oklahoma City Trailblazer meet. Her two-day total of 161 (82-79) was good enough for 14th place out of a solid field of 67 golfers.

Men – Ryan Cavanaugh, Morningside University
Ryan Cavanaugh of Morningside University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Golfer-of-the-Week. Cavanaugh, a sophomore from Reno, Nevada, was the top finisher GPAC at the Friends Texas Invitational, shooting one-under par in his final round. Overall, he finished in 12th place, carding scores of 79, 72 and 71.
