Week 2: GPAC Football Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following football players-of-the-week for games played the week of August 25-31, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-26 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/ Football Players-of-the-Week
Offense – Max Hough, Running Back (Morningside University)
Morningside running back Max Hough is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Hough, a junior Graettinger, Iowa, found the end zone twice in this week's win at Briar Cliff, averaging 14.8 yards per carry on 13 attempts for 192 yards. His long on the day came in the third quarter when he found a hole and scampered for a score from 83 yards out. The Mustangs have the week off before hosting Midland on September 20. Kick off will be at 1 pm.
Defense – Terry Sebek, Defensive Line (Concordia University)
Defensive lineman Terry Sebek of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Sebek, a junior from Hampton, Nebraska, starred for a defensive front that limited Doane to nine rushing yards in a 35-7 win. Sebek came through with three sacks and four tackles for loss. As a defense, Concordia forced four turnovers and recorded eight sacks. The Bulldogs host Dakota Wesleyan on September 13. Kick off will be at 6 pm.
Special Teams – Stephen Leinen, Kicker (Dordt University)
Stephen Leinen of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Special Teams Player-of-the-Week. Leinen, a junior from Harlan, Iowa, converted all nine of his extra point attempts and is now 101-104 in his career on point after tries. He also nailed a 28-yard field to start the scoring and tied a Dordt record with 12 kicking points in a single game. The Defenders travel to Doane on September 13. Kick off will be at 6 pm.
