Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Baseball Weekly Honors
Player – Kade Yasui, Morningside University (Outfield)
Morningside University outfielder Kade Yasui is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports baseball player-of-the-week. Yasui, a senior from Mililani, Hawaii, went 13-for-19 at the plate last week with three doubles, two home runs, and eight RBIs. He also drew a pair of walks and scored six times. He posted a batting average of .684, OBP of .714, and slugging percentage of 1.158. During the week he was perfect at the plate in two of the six games played, going 4-for-4 in each contest.
Pitcher – Kaden Crawford, Doane University
Kaden Crawford of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week. Craford, a senior from Fairfield, Texas, set the tone for the Tiger pitching staff on the weekend, starting the first game of the weekend with 6.0 shutout innings. He scattered three hits while striking out 10 batters, moving into third on the Doane strikeout chart with 222 career punch outs. As a team, Doane posted a 1.80 ERA on the weekend.
