Week 6: GPAC Baseball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following baseball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played March 9-15, 2026. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Baseball Weekly Honors

Player – Cade Marquardt, Briar Cliff University (Catcher)

Briar Cliff University catcher Cade Marquardt is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports baseball player-of-the-week.  Marquardt, a senior from Litchfield, Minnesota, recorded seven hits in 13 at-bats on the week. He posted a slash line of .538/.611/.846. He recorded eight RBIs with two doubles and a triple on the weekend while drawing four walks.

Pitcher – Gabe Rodriguez, Doane University

Gabe Rodriguez of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week.  Rodriguez, a senior from Thorton, Colorado, threw his first complete game and shutout in a Tiger uniform, posting a 2-0 win over Waldorf. He had a 0.71 WHIP in the game as he improved to 4-0 on the season while striking out four batters in the seven-inning contest.
