Week 1: GPAC Baseball Players of the Week

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Baseball Weekly Honors
Player – Grant Guidry, Northwestern College (First Base)
Northwestern College first baseman player Grant Guidry is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports baseball player-of-the-week. Guidry, a sophomore from Yantis, Texas, led the Raider offense with an .818 average, three home runs, and nine RBIs in Northwestern's series win at McPherson. In Saturday's 19-6 win, Guidry tied the school's single-game record with seven RBIs on a 4-for-5 outing, hitting two home runs.
Pitcher – Sam Bespoyasny, Concordia University
Sam Bespoyasny of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week. Bespoyasny, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, made his Concordia debut and earned a win over No. 22 Bellevue University in action that occurred in Oklahoma City. Bespoyasny went six innings with two runs allowed on five hits and three walks. He fanned five Bruins hitters. Concordia went 3-1 on the weekend while playing Bellevue/Oklahoma City twice.
