Briar Cliff Wins The 2025 GPAC Baseball Tournament

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Baseball Tournament ended on Monday in Sioux City, Iowa, with Briar Cliff winning the Championship Game over Mount Marty 6-5 at Bishop Mueller Field on the Briar Cliff Campus.

The fourth seeded Chargers won the Concordia Pod over the weekend to advance to the Championship Game, while Mount Marty was the winner of the Morningside Pod, which they co-hosted, in Yankton, South Dakota.

With the win Briar Cliff claims the second automatic bid from the GPAC to the NAIA Baseball Opening Round.  Concordia secured the first bid from the league by winning the regular season championship.

The NAIA Opening Round will be held May 12-15 on campus sites around the country.  The field for the NAIA Baseball Postseason will be announced on Wednesday.
