Day Two Update - 2025 GPAC Baseball Tournament

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The two brackets for the 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Baseball Tournaments continued Thursday in Seward, Nebraska, and Yankton, South Dakota.

In Seward, at the Concordia Pod, Briar Cliff moved to 2-0 in the bracket with their winners bracket victory over Concordia.  Dakota Wesleyan eliminated Midland in game four, and Concordia eliminated Dakota Wesleyan in game five.  The Bulldogs are 2-1 in the pod.  Game six is set for Noon on Friday in Seward. 

In Yankton, at the Morningside Pod co-hosted by Mount Marty, the host Lancers moved to 2-0 in the bracket with their winners bracket victory over Doane.  Morningside eliminated Northwestern in game four, and the Mustangs eliminated Doane in game five.  The Mustangs are 2-1 in the pod.  Game six is set for Noon on Friday in Yankton.

Weather could be a factor on Friday and the schedule is subject to change.

Concordia has secured the league's first berth to the NAIA Opening Round, while the GPAC Tournament Champion will receive the second berth.  If Concordia wins the GPAC Tournament, then Morningside (as number two seed) will receive the second GPAC berth to the NAIA Opening Round. 

All games in the GPAC Tournament are nine innings and the two brackets will be double elimination.  The overall GPAC Baseball Championship Game is a winner take all contest (9 innings) regardless of prior records in bracket play.  GPAC tie-breakers were used in the seeding process.
