Week 12: GPAC Baseball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following baseball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played April 21-April 27, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Baseball Weekly Honors

Pitcher – Riley Plummer, Doane University

Riley Plummer of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week.  Plummer, a freshman from Grand Island, Nebraska, threw his first career shutout, going nine innings against Hastings. The nine inning complete game was the first for Doane since 2021 (Kyler Beekman) and the nine inning complete game shutout was the first since 2019 (Lukas White). He finished the regular season with an 8-0 record, tied for most wins in the GPAC this season, and a 3.08 earned run average, second in the GPAC by 0.01.

Player – Jaidan Quinn, Concordia University

Jaidan Quinn of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports baseball player-of-the-week. Quinn, a senior from Bonner Springs, Kansas, homered five times as part of Concordia's four-game sweep of Dakota Wesleyan. During the weekend in Mitchell, South Dakota, he hit .615 (8-for-13) with 11 runs scored, two doubles, five home runs and 12 RBIs. He slugged 1.923. Defensively, he handled all five chances. Quinn is now even with teammate Brad Hallock for the GPAC home run lead (23).
