Week 2: GPAC Baseball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following baseball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played February 10-16, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Baseball Weekly Honors

Pitcher – Owen Kelley, Midland University

Owen Kelley of Midland University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports pitcher-of-the-week.  Kelley, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, earned the Warriors' first win of the season this week. He pitched 6.0 innings at Louisiana Christian on Friday. He allowed five hits while allowing a pair of unearned runs and struck out three batters.       

Player – Jacob Liquori, Midland University (Outfield)

Midland outfielder Jacob Liquori is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports baseball player-of-the-week.  Liquori, a senior from San Jose, California, hit .667 at the plate this week as the Warriors played a four-game series at Louisiana Christian. In Midland's 4-2 win on Friday, he had a pair of hits and drove in two runs with a 2nd inning home run.
