(Sioux City, Iowa) – The first round of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Basketball Tournament played out by the numbers as all four top seeds posted quarterfinal wins on Wednesday night. Top-seeded Morningside defeated eight-seed Hastings 95-87, while fourth-seed Briar Cliff defeated fifth-seed Nebraska Wesleyan 89-69.  On the bottom of the bracket second-seed Dakota Wesleyan defeated seventh-seed Concordia 78-64 and third-seed Midland defeated sixth-seed Dordt 89-59.

(Sioux City, Iowa) – Morningside College will be the number one seed when the 2015 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Postseason Basketball Tournament begins on Wednesday, February 25.  Morningside and Dakota Wesleyan shared the 2015 league title with 17-3 records and Morningside won a coin flip for the number one seed according to the GPAC tiebreaker procedures.  As the number one seed Morningside secures an automatic berth to the NAIA Men's Division II National Tournament in Point Lookout, Missouri, which runs March 11-17 at Keeter Gymnasium/College of the Ozarks.  Dakota Wesleyan will be the two seed, Midland three, and Briar Cliff the fourth seed.  The five seed is Nebraska Wesleyan, Dordt is the sixth seed, Concordia is seeded seventh, with Hastings will be the eighth seed.
