Morningside College's Kyle Schuck, a 6-2, 180 lb. senior wide receiver from Cherokee, Iowa, was named the 2013 Rawlings-NAIA National Football Player of the Year at tonight's (Friday) NAIA Banquet of Champions held in Rome, Georgia.

Earlier this fall, Dakota Wesleyan University football coach Ross Cimpl was honored by the Great Plains Athletic Conference as the league's coach of the year after guiding the Tigers to one of the top three seasons in school history.  Cimpl earned the second coaching honor of his career Tuesday when it was announced that the second-year head coach was named the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) NAIA Region 4 Coach-of-the-Year.

Morningside College's football team will travel to Des Moines, Iowa, to face Grand View University on Saturday, Dec. 7, in an all-Iowa semifinal round game in the NAIA Championship Series.  Gametime is at 1pm in Des Moines.  Carroll will play at Cumberlands in the other semfinal next Saturday.
