Cal State San Marcos became the third program to three-peat as team champion and Grand View's (Iowa) Obsie Birru became the Viking's first national titlist at the 2011 NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championships held Saturday at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.  The Concordia and Morningside women placed 17th and 18th respectively in the event.

Nebraska Wesleyan's women and men each defended their home course and claimed the 2011 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Cross Country Championships.  The GPAC Cross Country Championships were held at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The 21st Annual Woody Greeno/Nebraska Invitational Cross Country meet is set for Saturday morning (Sept. 17) at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, Neb.  The women's race will start at 10 a.m., followed by the men's race at 10:45.

A total of 32 teams and over 700 runners are scheduled to compete in the annual event.  Teams from all levels ofcompetition will be running.  Eight NCAA Division I teams, seven NCAA II teams, one NCAA III team, 14 NAIA teams andthree junior colleges will be running on Saturday.
