Dakota Wesleyan shot a team round of 331 on Saturday and has taken over the team lead in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Golf Championships for 2011-12 after Qualifier #2 in Fremont, Nebraska. The Tigers trailed Morningside by a stroke entering the day (338-337) but posted four scores in the top five to take over the team top spot with 36 of 72 holes completed. The Tigers now sit at 669 through 36 holes. Morningside is now in second with a two round total of 693. Northwestern is in third with 702.
Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Golf Qualifier #2 is set for Saturday, October 8, at Fremont, Nebraska. Midland University will host the 18 hole event at the Fremont Golf Club.
Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Golf Qualifier #1 was played Friday, September 16 at The Ridge in Sioux Center, Iowa. Dordt College was the host for the first 18 holes of the season.
