Morningside College's women's cross country team was announced as the winner of the 2012 Buffalo Funds Five Star Champions of Character Team Award at Friday's 2012 Men's and Women's Cross Country Awards Banquet in Vancouver, Wash., leading up to Saturday's NAIA Men's and Women's Cross Country National Championships to be held at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.

The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Cross-Country season wrapped up on Saturday, November 3, with the GPAC Championships hosted by Briar Cliff University. The GPAC Championship was run at the Adams Nature Preserve in McCook Lake, South Dakota.
