Doane's Rob Keeney broke his school record as he claimed the NAIA National Championship in the NAIA Decathlon on Friday at the National Championships in Marion, Indiana. Keeney was the 2013 NAIA Indoor Champion in the Heptathlon.

Indiana Wesleyan University will host the 2013 national championships for the fourth-straight year. The city becomes the fifth different in championships history to host this event for four-or-more consecutive years.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the first and second round pairings for the 2013 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships on Friday. The 19th annual event will take place at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb., May 21– 24. Doane College from the GPAC will serve has the host school for 2013.

The 2013 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Softball All-Conference team has been announced after a vote of league coaches. This year's GPAC All-Conference Team consists of a first-team, second-team, and an honorable mention list. Brooke Sampson from Doane College was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Player-of-the-Year while Taylor Erlenbusch from Hastings College was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Pitcher-of-the-Year.

This years GPAC All-Conference Team consists 17 first-team members and 18 second-team members, and an honorable mention list. Michael Lukkason from Dakota Wesleyan was selected as the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Player-of-the-Year and Tyler Stuerman from Northwestern was selected as the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Pitcher-of-the-Year.

The brackets for the 2013 NAIA National Tennis Championships in Mobile, Alabama, have been announced. The event runs Tuesday, May 14 - Saturday, May 18 at the Mobile Tennis Center. Nebraska Wesleyan's women and Doane's men will represent the GPAC. Both teams open play against Concordia of California.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the seeds and brackets for the inaugural NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round. Each of the 10 locations will feature a four-team double-elimination tournament May 13 – 15.

Hastings is a four seed in the Oklahoma City bracket (Oklahoma City University host) and Morningside is a four seed in the Claremore, Oklahoma, bracket (Rogers State host).
