            <title>[Men's Basketball] Dordt Top Seed in 2012 GPAC Men's Basketball Tournament</title>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;Dordt will be the number one seed when the 2012 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men&amp;#39;s Postseason Basketball Championships begins on Wednesday, February 22.&amp;nbsp; The Defenders went 17-3 in the league to win the GPAC regular season championship and also secured an automatic berth to the NAIA Men&amp;#39;s Division II National Tournament in Branson.&amp;nbsp; Dordt finished the regular season at 26-3.&amp;nbsp; Northwestern will be the number two seed, Briar Cliff the three seed, Midland the fourth seed, and Morningside the fifth seed.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

Didn&amp;#39;t have a chance the night Trevor Welp and his Clark Elementary Cougars laced up their sneakers for a basketball game in the North Middle School League.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Welp alone attracted a cheering section of about 20 young men, some standing 6-feet, 10-inches tall.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;Morningside College's Kory Kistner, a junior 125 pounder from Sioux City, has been named the NAIA National Wrestler of the Week.&amp;nbsp; Kistner won his only match of the week when he pinned Briar Cliff University's Nate Garcia in 1:08 to help the Mustangs wrap up the 2011-12 GPAC championship with a 42-3 dual meet victory against the Chargers last Wednesday. Morningside finished unbeaten in the GPAC with a 6-0 record.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;With their 85-68 win over the Concordia Bulldogs on Saturday, February 11, the Dordt College men&amp;#39;s basketball team claimed the school&amp;#39;s first Great Plains Athletic Conference Championship in the sport.&amp;nbsp; The win, combined with Briar Cliff&amp;#39;s loss, gave the Defenders the outright claim to the title and the number one seed in the post-season conference tournament that goes with it.&amp;nbsp; Dordt has also earned a spot in the NAIA Division II National Tournament held at the College of the Ozarks.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
