Honors for the 2008 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Outdoor Men's Track and Field Season have been announced.

Doane's Paulvince Obuon was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete-of-the-Year. Obuon scored 22.5 points in the GPAC Championships for the Tigers.
 

Doane's Jared Schuurmans has been awarded the Men's Top Performance-of-the-Meet. Schuurmans earned the honor for breaking the GPAC discus record with a throw of 176-03. He also set the shot put record with a toss of 55-10.

Ed Fye, head coach from Doane, and Kregg Einspahr, head coach from Concordia, were named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Track and Field Co-Coaches-of-the-Year.

Doane's men won the team championship with 212 points, breaking Nebraska Wesleyan's 19 year championship run. The Prairie Wolves were second, while Concordia placed third.

The GPAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships were held in Sioux City, Iowa, at Elwood Olsen Stadium on the campus of Morningside College.
