Honors for the 2008 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Outdoor Women's Track and Field Season have been announced.

Dordt's Jen Kempers was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete-of-the-Year. Kempers scored 28 points in the GPAC Championships for the Lady Defenders.

Northwestern's Olivia Johnson has been awarded the Women's Top Performance-of-the-Meet. Johnson earned the honor after her record setting performance in the 1500 meter run. Her time was 4:37.87.

Ed Fye, head coach from Doane College, was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Track and Field Coach-of-the-Year.

Doane's women won the team championship for the tenth straight year scoring 208 points in the meet. Nebraska Wesleyan was second and Concordia placed third.

The GPAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships were held in Sioux City, Iowa, at Elwood Olsen Stadium on the campus of Morningside College.
