Four games were played on Saturday at the 2008 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Baseball Tournament in Hastings, Nebraska.  In the 15th game of the tournament Morningside used a final inning rally to defeat Dakota Wesleyan 6-4 and win the tourney title. 

Earlier in the day Dakota Wesleyan eliminated Briar Cliff 13-7.  Morningside then eliminated Sioux Falls 5-3. Dakota Wesleyan then handed Morningside their first loss with a 7-2 win in the first championship game.  The Tiger win forced a second title game.

 

Two teams were eliminated on Thursday as Midland Lutheran and Nebraska Wesleyan went 0-2 on the day. Morningside and Dakota Wesleyan are the two undefeated teams at 2-0. Northwestern, Hastings, Briar Cliff,and Sioux Falls went 1-1.
