GPAC Weekly Baseball Honors
The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following baseball player and pitcher-of-the-week for April 21 –April 27, 2008. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
 
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Baseball Weekly Honors
Pitcher – Wade Morrison, Morningside
 
Morningside pitcher Wade Morrison is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Morrison, a sophomore from Arroyo Grande, California, posted a complete game win against Briar Cliff. In the win he pitched seven innings with three strikeouts and four walks and no runs allowed in the 6-0 victory. He has not allowed an earned run in three consecutive starts. Morningside is 25-14 on the season and will be the three seed in the GPAC Baseball Tournament with a 15-9 league record.

Player –Chris Williams, Doane
  Doane first baseman Chris Williams is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Baseball Player-of-the-Week. Williams, a senior from Greeley, Nebraska, posted a .588 batting average on the week with a slugging percentage of .941. For the week he had 11 RBI's and six runs scored. Williams also had a double, triple, and homerun. Doane went 3-2 on the week and posted their best conference record (11-13) since winning the GPAC Tournament in 2002.
