The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for April 7 –April 13, 2008. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Pitcher – Kelly Baumert, Morningside
  Morningside pitcher Kelly Baumert is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Baumert, a sophomore from Omaha, Nebraska, went 3-0 on the week with an ERA of 1.00 for the Mustangs. She has now won 12 consecutive decisions this season and has an ERA of 0.51. For the week she stuck out 23 batters over 21 innings pitched. Morningside is 24-5 on the season and went 6-0 last week.
