The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for March 10 -March 16, 2008. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors

Pitcher – No Nominee

Player- Lizz Swanson, Northwestern
Northwestern outfielder Lizz Swanson is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week. Swanson, a senior from Johnston, Iowa, posted a .571 batting average as the Red Raiders went 2-2 on the week. For the week she went 8-14 at the plate with six runs scored. Her slugging average was 1.500 as she had four home runs and a double on the week. Northwestern is now 8-8 on the season.
