![]() Fifth Seed Briar Cliff Still Wearing the GPAC Tournament Slipper! Fifth seed Briar Cliff and second seed Northwestern won semifinal games on Saturday afternoon in the 2008 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Men’s Basketball Tournament. The two will now meet on Tuesday night in the Championship Game in Orange City, Iowa, at the Bultman Center. Gametime is set for 7:30 PM. GPAC Championship Tuesday is sponsored by Rawlings Sporting Goods. Fifth seed Briar Cliff is still wearing the tournament slipper as they eliminated top-seed Morningside 69-66, while second seed Northwestern defeated third seed Dakota Wesleyan 86-78. Briar Cliff and Northwestern will now play with an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament as the GPAC Postseason Champion. Morningside has the regular season bid secured.
