The semifinal pairings are set in the 2008 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Basketball Tournament. On Thursday in quarterfinal action top-seeded Morningside defeated #8 Dordt 77-70, while on the other half of the top bracket #5 Mount Marty won at #4 Concordia 68-58. In the bottom of the bracket #2 Northwestern defeated #7 Doane 80-70 and #3 Hastings won at home over #6 Dakota Wesleyan 77-51.

On Saturday afternoon #1 seed Morningside will host #5 Mount Marty and #2 seed Northwestern will host #3 Hastings. Both games will tip-off at 2:00 PM.

GPAC Championship Tuesday, sponsored by Rawlings, will be on Tuesday, March 4. The GPAC Postseason Champion garners an automatic berth to the NAIA National Basketball Tournament (the runner-up gains the berth if the regular season champion (Morningside) wins the postseason).
