The 5-8 seeds all held true on Tuesday night in the first round of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Basketball Tournament. Fifth seed Mount Marty defeated 12^th seed Midland Lutheran 61-41, the Lancers will now play at #4 Concordia on Thursday at 7:30 PM in Seward, Nebraska. Eighth seed Dordt defeated 9^th seed Briar Cliff 69-58 in Sioux Center, Iowa. The Lady Defenders will now play at top-seed Morningside in a 6:00 PM game on Thursday. Seventh seed Doane won at home against 10^th seed Sioux Falls 62-52 and will now play at #2 Northwestern on Thursday at 6:00 PM. Sixth seed Dakota Wesleyan defeated #11 Dana 74-56 and will now travel to Hastings to play the 3^rd seeded Broncos in a 7:30 PM in the quarterfinals on Thursday night.
