![]() There was one upset in the first round of the 2008 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Basketball Tournament on Tuesday night. In Crete, Nebraska, Dana defeated Doane in the #9 vs. #8 game. The Vikings will now play at top-seeded Morningside on Thursday at 8:00 PM in Sioux City, Iowa. Fifth seed Briar Cliff won at home over #12 Midland Lutheran 73-56, and will now play at 4th seed Dordt at 7:30 PM on Thursday night. In Sioux Falls 7th seeded USF defeated #10 Concordia 87-58, the Cougars will now play at #2 Northwestern on Thursday. Sixth seed Hastings defeated #11 Mount Marty 84-71 and the Broncos will now play at #3 Dakota Wesleyan in a 5:00 PM later this week.
The semifinals are on Saturday, March 1, at the highest two remaining seeds. GPAC Championship Tuesday, sponsored by Rawlings, will be on Tuesday, March 4.
